Noire Gardens was created by Artist, Designer, and UX professional Rachel B.

With deep roots in the New York City nightlife and over 17 years creating garments, Rachel was consistently inspired by the pulse of the city. Its eccentric cavalcade of personalities that came to life at night struck her as she immersed herself in the art, fashion, and chaos of the party scene. She quickly became a fixture amongst her peers, creating garish yet ornate looks for club-goers, DJs, and of course, herself.

Gravitating toward the sci-fi film aesthetic of the 1940’-50’s, and with an affinity for black apparel, Rachel noticed a disconnect between style that suited her tastes, and comfort. Many desired garments were tailored to fit smaller bodies, or constricting and unimaginative. She aimed to create a space for those who are inspired by the dark arts, lead busy lives, and want to look good but feel comfortable.

Now, Rachel is settled down in California with her husband, Rich, and Son, Grey. Her lust for nightlife persists, but is currently intertwined with inspiration drawn from her fashionable family. Her son even coined Noire Gardens namesake while peering into their backyard stating, “it’s dark in the garden.”

The family’s casual strolls in the So-Cal sunlight deliver the essence of an editorial Addams Family. Their feel-good/look-good daily walks have influenced an optimal balance of comfort, leisure and all black everything, that is executed within the designs and styles of Noire Gardens.

Come run through our wicked garden!
